About Us

Emily’s lifelong passion for horses led her to discover the magic of off-track Thoroughbreds (OTTBs) early on. Growing up in Pony Club and later competing in Eventing, she developed a deep appreciation for the athleticism and versatility of Thoroughbreds. Emily trained her OTTB to the Advanced level of Eventing and founded OTTB Marketplace, a successful venture dedicated to retraining and rehoming OTTBs.

In 2013, Emily was honored as one of the trainers selected for the inaugural Retired Racehorse Project (then called the RRTP) Makeover at Pimlico Racetrack, where she showcased her work with the OTTB mare Victory Money. She returned to the RRP in 2017 with The Big Rooster, competing in dressage.

Now blending her creativity with her love of problem-solving, Emily has transitioned to a career in tech as a UX Product Designer. She’s also training her young homebred filly, Uyuni Diamond aka "Lexi' that she bred from her OTTB mare during the quarantine of 2020.

Through her work with OTTB on Tap, Emily shares her expertise and enthusiasm for Thoroughbreds, connecting a community of like-minded riders, trainers, and OTTB lovers.

Niamh’s love for off-track Thoroughbreds (OTTBs) traces back to her childhood, and she realized her dream of owning one in 2013. That first horse set her on a path of working with these incredible athletes and discovering their potential beyond the track. Inspired by the OTTB community, she transitioned from the corporate world to work alongside Emily, gaining invaluable hands-on experience in selecting, restarting, and rehoming OTTBs.

Over the years, Niamh has owned and retrained several impressive Thoroughbreds, successfully identifying young prospects and preparing them for new careers. Beyond her work with horses, Niamh is a professional photographer, combining her creative eye with her love of equines through her business, HoofWoof Images. Her portfolio spans rare books and stunning equine photography, capturing the unique spirit of each subject.

Through OTTB on Tap, Niamh shares her journey with Thoroughbreds while connecting and inspiring a community of OTTB enthusiasts.
